Innovating for Women – Business Challenge
WSU Ventures seeks to identify the most innovative products and services that have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families, have a high-potential for commercialization, fills a need in the marketplace, and have a commercialization timeline of less than 18 months.
WSU Ventures will select up to 10 semi-finalist to pitch their ideas to a panel of local judges on Friday, May 12, 2017. WSU Ventures will then select one winner from the Kansas InnovateHER competition to be submitted to the Small Business Administration (SBA) for a chance to participate in the National InnovateHER 2017 semi-final round. The SBA will identify up to 10 finalists from all of the local competitions and these finalists will be invited to travel to Washington, D.C. in September 2017 for a live pitch competition and compete for up to $70,000 in prize money provided by Sarah Blakely Foundation.
Kansas InnovateHER applications are subject to a competitive review, evaluation, and approval by local judges.
